I completed my MBBS and MD (PULMONARY MEDICINE) 1997 from KGMC Lucknow and qualified for DNB (PULMONARY MEDICINE), then joined Regency Hospital, Kanpur in 1997, and completed 2 years in- Hospital Training in the Department Of Critical Care Medicine. After that, I was promoted as full time Critical Care Consultant in 1999.
Since 1999, I have been working as a consultant in Department of Critical Care Medicine and have organized large number of Critical Care Training Programs and hands on workshop on forum of ISCCM. I was appointed as teacher for IDCCM in Regency Hospital by ISCCM in 2010. With a successful teaching programme, I have also been an accredited teacher for IFCCM at Regency Hospital. I am also reviewer of IJCCM and examiner for IDCCM. Since 1999 I have been continuously attending National and International congress and workshops organized by ISCCM, ESICM, SCCM and other Societies.
Presently, I am working as a full time consultant and in Critical Care Medicine in the same hospital (20 years in this field) and spending more than 75% time in critical care only, posted as Senior Consultant and Education Coordinator in department of Critical Care at Regency Hospital, Kanpur.
As the organizing chairperson, I organized CRITICON 2019 (UP/UK State) conference of ISCCM in KANPUR with great success. I qualified for FCCS instructorship program in 2009 and then got accreditation of our hospital for critical care training programme in 2010. I have conducted many workshops, Critical Care Awareness Programme and CMEs in the field of critical care medicine in Kanpur and at the State level. I have been involved in various teaching and training programs like IFCCM, IDCCM, IDCCN, FCCS, and POST MBBS CRITICAL CARE TRAINING PROGRAMMES. I have participated in various studies in field of CCM like INDICAP study, EPIC study. Since 2006, I am an executive member of city branch of ISCCM and at present, I am the Chairman of Kanpur city branch of ISCCM and Vice chairmen UP & Uttarakhand state chapter ISCCM.
I have been awarded fellowship in INDIAN COLLEGE OF CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE in 2020 by Indian college of critical care medicine.
